Block Print Student Zine
Block Print launched in the summer of 2025, featuring original work by students from our pilot summer programs. Our goal is to publish three editions each year—spring, summer, and fall—highlighting the creativity and talent of our young writers and artists. Moving forward, participants in our workshops and competitions will be eligible to have their work considered for publication.
While the full zine—complete with curated design and layout—is available for purchase in our shop, we also believe in showcasing students' work online (all of which can be seen below). This not only amplifies their voices but also gives them a published portfolio they can share with future educators and employers.

Our Zine Team meetings happen once a week digitally via Zoom. You’ll join a creative community working together to shape our summer issue around a theme you help choose while also developing your own piece to be featured in the zine.
Each week, we’ll dive into new writing prompts and begin reviewing submissions from contributors near and far. By the end of the summer, we’ll have a finished collection published both digitally and in print, a polished finished product you will have helped bring to life.
